Volunteer

Volunteers provide vital support to the various projects and departments at Hesperian. In return for their time, volunteers are able to work for social justice in a diverse community of progressive individuals and are exposed to the inner workings of a community-health nonprofit publisher. In addition, volunteers are encouraged to attend on-site brown bag talks with local and international speakers addressing global topics of public health and social/environmental justice.

Our volunteer needs range from researching topics for books in development to packing books to general administrative support. If you are interested in volunteering with us, please email us with your resume and a brief description of your work/volunteer history and any specific skills and interests. Due to the nature of our volunteer opportunities, our volunteers must be able to work in our Berkeley, CA office.
